Big Boy bed- UPDATE

DH fought the good fight today with J and tried to get him to take a nap in his new room. After an hour of what I can only tell you are some of the funniest emails I've ever gotten from H, he lost the battle and put J in the crib. 10 minutes in the crib and he was down. ARGH! Some of the highlights from the emails giving me a play by play of the epic war are as follows:

"Just heard a crackling sound on the monitor... I knew exactly what it was. I went upstairs and sure enough, there was the boy on the floor with the monitor in his hands. I don't think this is going to go well."

"I'm now hearing "boiiiing, booooiiiiiiinnnggg", he's playing with the doorstop."

"Yeah... heard crying upstairs. Not typical crying, but like kinda scared crying. I look in his room and he's no where to be seen. Then a foot popped out from under the bed. He saw his poof ball and went crawling under the bed to go get it and got himself stuck. He also pooped. He's acting much more tired now, so maybe, just maybe we might get him to sleep. I also hid his ball so we wouldn't be likely to play with it."

"I think I may have won the battle... I haven't heard anything out of him in nearly 10 minutes. "

"False alarm. I did not win. I just went up to check on him, he has learned to be ninja like daddy. He was playing with the night light, pushing it up against the wall."

"He's in his crib. He pulled almost all the clothes off the long dresser. I caught him in the room with a shoe on his hand."

Lol!! I love getting texts/emails from H when he is on kid duty. These little ones are smart and crafty, hope the next nap battle you guys win.

Haha! That was great. DH calls and texts a millions times, but never with updates. It's always something catastrophic like what he should feed them for lunch. haha Your DH gets props for sticking it out like a trouper!
