How much did you lose from walking into L&D to when you walked out? My mom told me she lost close to 25lbs. My MIL basically called her a liar. :::insert eye roll::::
It totally varies. I think 25 is definitely within reason btw! I didn't lost that much because I got super swollen (I forget what it's called) from the IV....way more bloated then when I went in:( I would say 10-20ish is probably average from what I have heard.
I was really puffy from all the fluids, so I think I was only down about 10 (and ~8 of that was baby!) I've lost about 3lb a day since then, down a total of 22lb from the day of my c/s, which was 9 days ago. I gained a total of 45 so about halfway there.

25 does seem high (though definitely a possibility). I believe I only lost 10-15 and 9lbs was baby. I think I was still a little puffy from the fluids as well.
No experience yet. I am due on the 10th....but my mom also said she lost about 25 lbs before she left the hospital. But remember....back then mother and baby often stayed in the hospital longer than they do now.
I put on 35 lbs with DS1 and I think I left the hospital about 20-25 lighter, but I'm not 100% sure. I never tracked my weight, just went by how my clothes fit.
25lbs would be awesome, since that's what I've gained so far! I am counting on at least 10-12, being baby and placenta. Hopefully I won't need a shitton of fluids.

I didn't weigh myself for a week because I was so swollen, and honestly too busy to even think about it. When I weighed myself 1w post-delivery I had lost about 22 of the 40 I gained. I've now lost 30 total, so only another 10 to go!

I guess it all depends on how much you've gained. With DD I went into delivery up 22lbs and left up 7lbs so I lost 2/3 of the weight in less than two days.
One of my friends went in up 70lbs and left four days later only up 20lbs. Definitely not unheard of to lose a lot right after delivery.
They say as a general rule, from the time you walk into L&D to the time that you walk out, you should expect to drop about double the baby weight, maybe a little bit more. So obviously, 25 is within reason - just probably not very common.
Ummm...maybe 5-10 lbs because of all the fluids they pump via iv (yay for no iv this time). I would have eye rolled your mom too. Unless you have like pre e and are retaining insane amounts of water, don't count on 25 lbs!

I started at 209 lbs pre-pregnancy.
I was about 222 lbs right before delivery day.
I was 200 lbs at 4 days pp.
I was 190 lbs at 7 days pp.
I was 184 lbs at 10 days pp.
(Now I've been fluctuating between 185-190 lbs.)

I lost all 16 that I gained before I got home the next day. I am down another 13 pounds from where I started.
25 from your mom seems a little high, but definitely possible. Especially if she breast fed
