How long before your period returned?

DS will be 12 weeks on Friday and I still have yet to have a period. Should I be concerned...maybe call my doctor? How long before your's came back?

    Are you bfing?  If so your period may not come back for a while.  I have friend's who went 15 months without a period and it only came back after LO weened off the breast.

    Yes I am pumping as DS has trouble with latching. I guess I never thought to attribute my lack of a period with bfing.

    Yes, if you are bf'ing it is common to have a delayed period. With DD1, I didn't get it until she was 6 months. I am hoping that it stays away for atleast that long this time around!

    I still don't have mine, but I EBF. Honestly, I don't mind :) I'm in no rush to TTC again and it's not like I enjoy AF!

    My mom BFed and didn't get hers back until I was 8 months old, actually.

    I EBF-both DS and DD.

    DS I got mine back at 15 months. Exactly 1 month after he weaned. 

    Don't have it yet with this one and I'm assuming I won't until she weans as well. I consider it a blessing!

    I haven't gotten mine yet either at 11 weeks. My mom said she didn't get hers with me until I started solids at 6 months. Then she got pregnant right away!

    11 weeks tomorrow, I EBF, and no period yet! I hope it stays away the whole time I BF =P

    I  bf and I got her at 10 weeks.. unexpected.. while out of town for the long weekend..

    ugh..

    Renee- 37 DH - Chad - 39
    2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
    3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks 
    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    With DS1 it was about 4 months out. With DS2 it was five weeks pp!! : havent had one since though. I know they take awhile to adjust before they regulate

    I haven't gotten her yet and don't expect to for a few more months.  After DD was born, I got it back at 7mo when she'd been on solid foods for a month.  I hope to go at least that or longer without it this time.

    I am EBF and haven't had it yet. I'm hoping it stays away until I wean my LO.

    I got lucky!  I just got mine for the first time yesterday and DD is 15 months!  I EBF though and have only now gone down to one nursing session a day.  I think that may have had something to do with it.  Some women don't get it back until they completely wean! 

    This thread is old, so I'm curious...did you ever get it back?  If so, when? :-)
