I'm in a great situation because my parents are moving to our area to be closer to their first grandchild, and they're going to be taking care of DD while we're at work. I'm thrilled that I don't have to send her to daycare yet, but I was still really anxious about not having her around 24/7. One of the things bugging me was the realization that I was probably going to miss a lot of her firsts, e.g. crawling, talking. Today was my first day back at work (I'm a teacher). Would you believe that when I came home my father told me that he did tummy time with her and she rolled over? It was her first time!
I mean, she couldn't even give me ONE DAY back at work before I started missing stuff???
Re: That's what I get for going back to work!
THIS HAPPENED TO ME!!! About a month ago. My mother-in-law watches him during the day. She was like "has he done that before?" and I frantically said that, oh yeah, he's been doing that ( I lied) ;o(
And guess what, he rolled from back to stomach with her too this week...
At least we can enjoy it as if it's the first time for us...later
I know what you mean though, I was having anxiety about this exact thing before I went back to work. And then it happened.
