So I was reminiscing this morning and thought about when I gave dd a bath when she was just about a week old and silly me thought I'd just wrap her in a towel and read her a quick story in our comfy rocking chair. I thought a little air drying time might be good. Then my beautiful and clean little newborn decided to poop everywhere. I learned very quickly to diaper that little girl up quick, fast, and in a hurry after bathtime!
What was I thinking?
Anyone else do anything regrettable?
Re: What was I thinking? Mommy Edition
ahahaha that was funny. Yesterday LO was crying a lot during her bath, so I picked her up to soothe her and got peed on...
Also, I used the nosefrida on her with a full tummy and got vomited on. Lesson learned!
With DD1 I had let her go without a diaper once and decided to nurse her. She poo'd everywhere....sad part is I was nursing her on our bed.....
With DD2 in the early days I had made a "changing station" on our living room floor. I basically set a blanket down on the floor with some diapers and wipes. Well I had left her there for all of 2 seconds and DD1 climbs up on a couch right next to the changing station and a remote dropped from the couch and fell on DD2. I felt horrible.
Goodbye little angel(7/22/2011)....see you in heaven
Goodbye my second angel (9/18/2011)
When DD was about 3 weeks old we went out of town, I threw an entire container of formula in her diaper bag, it popped open and got all over EVERYTHING. At that time I was not aware of how STICKY that nasty powder is and it is still to this day stuck in the seams of the bag.... From then on I always put the formula in a container AND a ziplock bag.
Jamiah, when I am sent straight to he// for giggling at these poor babys' expenses, Im thinking of this post
Bath-time seems to be a scary time. After his bath I was putting lotion on him when the huge, full bottle fell straight down (with the sharp spout pointed right at lo's head) It landed a few centimeters from his head. I didnt even hurt him and I cried. That would have been an ER visit for sure.
Thats a pretty big oops.
My less serious oopses have been meeting our babysitter with no bottle, so he was crying the whole time and my many EC fails and misses and catching pee with my thigh
edit for punc
I packed a diaper bag for LO to go to MIL's house. I knew I would be gone for quite awhile, but I only packed 4 diapers. Duh, it's a diaper bag, check to make sure there are enough diapers in it.
Just today I was walking through a doorway in our house, I bumped his head on the door frame. It must not have been so bad, because he slept through it.
I was changing DS's poopy diaper, and I didn't wait long enough for him to finish. As I was changing him, he lifted his little leg, farted, and the poop shot out all over me. As I was cleaning that up, he decided to pee. It was like a little fountain and got all over the place!
Lesson learned, wait for him to finish pooping, and always cover that little wee wee!!!

At the beginning I didn't realize that formula could get stuck under the baby's neck folds (I have a little chunker :P) until my mom told me he smelled kinda funny. Then she checked his neck and there was gunk under there! I felt so bad at the time.
My DS never fit into newborn clothes. The only thing is I didn't realize that in the beginning. I put him in a nb outift and everyone thought it was so funny because he was making all these funny faces. Then I realized it's because he couldn't straighten out his legs. The outfit was way too tight! Oops.
