We're not even close to toddler bed time but I've been hearing about others who've already made the switch. So i'm just curious...have you made the switch and if not, when are you planning on doing it? I was thinking once she climbs out of her crib or when we move her bedroom upstairs...just do it all at once so we'll only have a few days of hell instead of splitting it up

BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
I am a big fan of keeping them in their cribs until it becomes a safety issue - they are repeatedly climbing out- or you are trying to night potty train. Other than that there is NO reason IMHO why anyone would want to make that change. My boys will be in their cribs until one of those two happen.
M crawled out of his crib a few weeks ago. Instead of immediately switching to the toddler bed, I turned his crib so the shorter side in front is now up against the wall. The back side is facing out and is much too high for him to climb. So far, he has been trapped! And, is actually sleeping better (I think he feels even more enclosed?)
I'm thinking I'll maybe try the transition to the toddler bed in December over my Christmas break. We'll see.
When I put him in Bishops crib just for fun he freaks out!
