TTC Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Better late than never, right? :) I've been mostly MIA over the long weekend, so if I missed any BFPs or other updates, please correct me.

What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle?

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week?

  • What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? 5th cycle trying, CD 3 (6 months overall)

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? Just that I'm really hitting the point of being disappointed with BFNs. We started TTC "earlier" than my "ideal" time of having LOs be 2.5 years apart and now we are at a point where if I'm not KU this cycle they will be more than 2.5 years apart, so I am starting to feel that disappointment more than I did 5 cycles ago.

Went to an out of town wedding! LO was a cutie pie but she made us pay for the change in her schedule by being REALLY crabby this morning.

  • What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? 15 months trying; eight months/five cycles charting, CD 7

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? I'm doing pretty good this week. CD1 is always a bummer, but after a 75-day, possibly annovulatory cycle, it feels good to just start fresh. It's also nice to have a few weeks off from OPKs and to be able to go shopping for some upcoming fall events knowing that I won't have a baby bump to plan around. On the downside, my cystic acne is flaring back up with a vengeance.

We're working on gradual weaning with DS, and it's going pretty well. We've eliminated daytime nursing sessions (i.e. between about 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.), and even at night he's nursing less. He's been falling asleep without nursing more often, so I think we're just now getting to a place where it's going to be easier to gradually drop more feedings in the next couple months. I'd like to have him 100% weaned by the end of 2012.

QOTW: What did y'all do for the Labor Day weekend? We didn't do anything huge, but we were busy. We did some shopping at the mall and we took my mom out for her birthday, and also spent some time just vegging at home. Pretty good times. :)

  • I posted this below, but it was the weekend and super slow, so I'll post it here too.

I have a bunch of OPKs if anyone wants them! Let me know!

  • To my TTCers who I told I would mail pregnancy tests.... yeah... I suck.  I actually put them in big envelopes, addressed them, and then promptly put them on my desk.  I swear I'll get postage on them this week and stick them in the mail!  Sorry!!!

  • What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle?  Cycle 2, CD 3

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week?  Today was my first day home with DS for my new schedule.  It was kinda weird being home with him when I have worked Mon-Fri since he was 5 months old.  I have lots of things I want to do with him but may need some more ideas.  I will probably post a question to all the SAHM's.

QOTW: What did y'all do for the Labor Day weekend? (Pics are welcomed!) I had to work Saturday and Monday and we didn't really do anything different on Sunday.  Just the typical dinner at the IL's.  It was nice to relax a bit though.

  • I'm late to the party, but here it goes.

What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? 1st month back, CD 24 (TWW - oh goodie)

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? Brag - the training I was working on all through August went off without a hitch last week and now I can finally slow down a smidge.

QOTW: What did y'all do for the Labor Day weekend? Friday we had a date night and saw Sleepwalk With Me.  So good, I highly recommend it.  Sat/Sun we either laid around the house or did errands.  On Monday, we spent much of the morning outside (without dieing from the heat), and then I actually followed though on an art project for B that will turn into a little engagement present for my sister and a thank-you card for my bff.  Overall, it was a pretty awesome weekend.

@PGSTL - wedding fun!  Pretty pictures of you and Reese please.

@GrayGhost - good luck with the weaning process.  It's such a journey.

@megsw - Ouch about your knee, but the Seneca Lake trip sounds fun.  From what you wrote I'm a little jealous.

@jax - Enjoy the new schedule and time with LO.  I imagine it will feel weird for quite a while.

  • @PGASTL - I know what you mean about worrying about the ideal spacing. We really wanted 2u2, so when March rolled around this year, that was probably the roughest BFN for me, because I had to accept that my "ideal" wasn't going to happen. I hope things happen for you soon, but know that you're not alone in feeling that way!

@jax - Have fun with the new schedule! I am sure you'll enjoy all the extra time with your little guy.

@kj - Yay for date night! We have a sitter for the first time in--literally!---months for this Friday night, and I can.not.wait! :)

I am posting from my phone so I hope this works! Unfortunately I don't have any good pics my camera has been in the shop over 8 weeks and so I haven't been good about taking pics. I hope it's fixed soon!
