A few days early! I never expected things to happen the way they did. Woke up at 4:30 to what I thought could be a contraction but not very strong. Felt like a mild menstrual cramp. Went to bathroom and back to bed. At 5:30 woke up again to the same thing. This time I decided to get in shower bc was still planning on going to work. Didn't think it was really labor. Took shower and then contractions were a little closer together, maybe 20 minutes or so. Decided to page my dr bc I wasn't sure if I should go in at this point, was induced with Ava so wasn't sure what to expect and have heard lots of stories about how things can progress pretty quickly. He said sounded like early labor but could go to hospital and get checked if I wanted, or call him when they get closer stronger. I didnt want to go have them send me home so decided to wait a bit. Pretty soon after I hung up with dr they started coming closer and stronger so woke up my husband, and we were on our way. Called dr on way to hospital. Got to hospital about 745 and had contraction right as we parked but then while walking in didn't have any so thought they were slowing down and thought they would send me home or tell me I was a 1 or 2. Got to ld, they checked me and said I was complete and my bag was ready to burst. No time for epidural. Moved me to birthing room and two pushes he was out, no epidural, no doctor. The nurses delivered him, they were great! I expected it to be so much worse without an epidural but it wasn't unbearable. Benjamin was 7lbs 11oz 20 inches. He is doing great we couldn't be happier with our little man!!
