My MC began today and I was in a LOT of pain. I called my OB and they said it would be ~24 hours before they could get back to me. I really needed some pain meds (which the Dr. told me he would call in for me). I couldn't wait 24 hours so I was going to go by Urgent Care. On the way, I made a wrong turn and what do you know, next thing I see a cop behind me pulling me over. He comes to the window and asks how I am and I told him I'm having a miscarriage I'm on my way to the urgent care. He says, because you just told me that, I have to call an ambulance. I said, I'm a block away from the Urgent Care I don't need an ambulance. He then proceeds to run all my stuff, I'm sitting there for a good 10 minutes, and then he slaps a $200 speeding ticket on me. I was not aware I was speeding. He then says, do you need anything, I said yes, to go to urgent care. So I go to urgent care and they can't help me, so I drove back to the ER all just for pain meds! I'm so frustrated and I was so emotional and now I got the ticket and I'm even more emotional. I know he was doing his job and I'm sure lots of people say they are going to the ER but seriously! Way to add insult to injury!

    I'm so sorry for your loss...and I'm so sorry you got the cop up for the jerk of the year award.  I hope the pain meds you got will help to ease your pain a bit.  Hang in there.

    So sorry for your loss and having to deal with pain and a speeding ticket all in one day.  Luck to you.  Hopefully today is a little better  and your OB is able to do something for you.

    That is soo awful and insensitive. I'm so sorry for your loss and that you had to go through that during such a hard time :(

    I also hope that your meds are helping you a bit. Hang in there and know that the worst is over.

    Wow what a jerk! I'm so sorry you had to deal with that...I would've lost it. I hope the pain meds gave you the physical relief you needed. Hugs.

    OMG! unbelievable!  I would be absolutely livid!  This is jaw dropping! So sorry hun!

    That cop is awful!  I can't believe he did that.  I say go fight it in court if you can.  I'm so sorry to hear all of this!

    Agree about fighting in court.

    Also I'm sorry that you have to put up with more crap on an already bad day.
