D just woke up SCREAMING! Freaked me out!

I'm still not sure what happened but all the sudden Laney started SCREAMING over the monitor. Like the worst cry/scream I've ever heard from her! She had been asleep for about an hour. I came running in SO fast thinking she somehow fell out of the crib or was stuck in the slats but she was just laying flat on her back. She stopped as soon as I picked her up and was then wide awake. She's now nursing back to sleep but my heart is racing!! Poor baby :[

    I bet she had a nightmare! DS has done it a few times and scares the crap out of me!

    That's kind of what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if they had nightmares so young.. This makes me so sad for when she's older and has nightmares and comes running in my room, poor baby :[ I know I already said that but I feel so sad for her

    That has happened to J a few times, but he never wakes up. He screams in his sleep.

    When that happens, it is a horrible, horrible scream. Hopefully she as a peaceful rest of the night.

    It is really sad. You just don't want them to hurt at all!

    I just asked DH if he remembered last time DS woke up screaming bloody murder, and he said, "Yes, I bet he had a nightmare that he was sucking on your boobie and no milk was coming out no matter how hard he sucked and it was the worse nightmare he ever had."

    That panic you feel does not go away as they get older. It is the worst.
    I hope she sleeps peacefully after you get her back down.

    DD has done that a few times but never really wakes up. It's just a quick scream and then back to sleep. Must be nightmares :(

    Yes, this is what happens with A too. The first time she was only 6 weeks old. I didn't realize she was still asleep and picked her up. She kept screaming for a few seconds, then had a giant poop and fell right back to sleep in my arms. Scared the crap out of H and me.

    This has happened to me too! V was asleep strapped in her swing and I was peeing and I heard her scream the worst scream ever I swore she had to have fallen out of the swing somehow. I ran to her without even fully pulling up my pants! Haha. But she was fine and still had her eyes closed so I figured it was a nightmare. Poor babies!

    LOL poor Trudy!  I have to say I have done this too:))  Ladybug hope she sleeps well now and no more nightmares.  I haven't had it with DS2 but DS1 has had plenty of nightmares as a baby and it's awful to hear that sound:(
