Movie/TV recommendations? (flying)

John and I will be flying to NY on Sunday and I need some recommendations for a movie or television show that may keep his interest.  While we did fly to NY last summer, there is something about flying with a toddler that scares the crap out of me.  He isn't usually that into movies or TV, but since he will be strapped into a car seat for at least 8 hours, I figure maybe he will be bored enough to pay attention.  I ordered him headphones and I will have my Kindle all charged up, I just need to know what to put on it.  Any suggestions? (and any tips on flying with a toddler?)

Oh, and I did order a couple new toys (a busy board and a dress-me doll) and we will be taking some of our favorite books.  Anything I'm not thinking of?

    A likes Super Why and Sesame Street (although he does get bored with a few segments on S.S., like Abby's Flying Fairy School).   He also loves his Chicka Chicka Boom Boom DVD, except he only likes that segment (see my post above about repetition!)

    Good luck! 8 hours is a really long time for him to be in a car seat :(

    Thanks, ladies!  I'm so nervous this time.  I'm not a good flyer to begin with and flying with a toddler doesn't help.  I just hope I can keep him from getting us kicked off the flight!

    Haven't flown with my guys, but we've done car trips. They both love Cars, Thomas the train, and Blues Clues!! I'd say Thomas is the fave... The old ones with the model trains, not the CGI crap.

    Forgot to add that the old Thomas is especially nice... Each "episode" is like 5 minutes. Great for short attention spans!
