Hi everyone! I'm obviously new to the board, we literally just got the internet...crazy huh? We're not exactly a family that has a lot of technology....for goodness sake we don't even have basic cable!
Anywho...I'm Raechel, and my daughter is Avery and she was born 7/28/11.... This is my question, and I feel soo silly asking...but tonight I painted Avery's nails...I know this isn't a huge thing, but it is in my house...my husband doesn't like make-up and other flashy things...well he's out of town and I did it anyways...Now I don't know how to safely take it off before he gets home!!! If he finds out I did this he's not going to be happy with me at all...
Is it safe to use nail polish remover on a toddler?!
Re: Quick and Random Question from a Newb
Personally, there's no way I would use nail polish remover on a toddler. I guess that doesn't help, really. What I want to know is how in the world did you get her to hold still to get it on her in the first place?
Oh, and welcome to the board!
I gave her a cookie...which is also something we only do when daddy isn't home...She was busy munching away...
And I've tried peeling it off with no luck...this isn't good...
Oh he's not controlling, just has strong opinions and idealogy...we both do...I guess we're going to the store in the morning for nail polish remover...
I should probably avoid acetone right?
So, if he's so against nail polish, why did you have some in the house anyway? And why did you decide to put some on your toddler when you probably don't wear it yourself?
I probably sound all kinds of confrontational here, but I'm genuinely curious.
I think she was referring to the decoration, not the sugar. I could be wrong, though... He doesn't sound all that nice.
Ah, I could be wrong. Thanks for pointing that out!
It was old, from a couple of years ago before I fully immersed myself in our lifestyle. And as much as we're against it...I still think it looks cute on little girls....I guess it was a lapse in judgement...
And I wouldn't go as far as to say he doesn't like fat women...we just want little Avery to grow up as pure and healthy as we can control. It was a homemade, practically all organic cookie, so that's how I justified it.
The boys? Well, of course...I guess. I mean they can't do a whole lot to adorn themselves..of course they have strict guidelines when it comes to dress, and they must get their schooling done before going out to play...but you have to be a little stricter with girls when it comes to their bodies and keeping them in a Godly way....
It's light pink... and he comes home Friday evening...I'm hoping it starts to come off on it's own during bath time...
You would think. I mean, who do you think the girls would be messing around with anyway?
Methinks this is a troll/AE/bored person looking to stir up the board with some MUD.
