Re: anyone with fibroids?

  • I do. I have two of them. One 2cm towards the bottom and one 4cm on the back side. A couple of weeks ago I called my OB due to pain and they told me that because of them I'll have more pain than normal. I also got round ligament pain early because of it.

I can deal with the pain as long as I know everything is ok.

I did to started with the round ligament pains early on. I got 2 that are about 7cm big and one right on my bladder and another on my right side. it does get annoying sometimes. right now i can tolerate the pain, but i just don't how bad it will get as i get further along. *sigh*

  • Same here.

I'm fearful of what might happen when the kicks start up.

  • My SIL had them. I know some people won't even really notice them, but they caused HUGE problems for her. At one time during her pregnancy (around 24 weeks I believe,) she had to go to the hospital, and we were afraid they would need to take the baby and hope it survived on its own. (They didn't need to, thankfully!) But they did put her on bed rest, and believed she'd need to be on bed rest until the baby came. Fortunately things changed and she was able to go back to work a few weeks later! She just had her baby! He's adorable.

woah that is scary! my nurse-midwife told me that it may interfere when the baby needs to get in head down position. we're hoping that it doesn't and i can have a vaginal delivery.

glad to hear that your sister was able to deliver w/o any complications. congrats to you on your new baby nephew.

  • Yes, I have one large one and like PP my doctor said it is possible that it could grow to the point where it blocks that birth canal and I would have to have a C-section. I have an ultrasound next week so hopefully we find out that it hasn't grown much.

  • I also have some - three, the biggest is 6.6cm. I was told not to worry about it, but, of course, I do. Good luck to everyone!
