AW:
So we did wind up going to Florida and it went so much better than I expected!
Here she is meeting Mickey and Minnie:
Hanging with Grandpa by the castle:
On the jungle cruise:
And doing the walk of shame after we had to throw her clothes away at the airport:
As for the PSA: if you are traveling with breastmilk, you have to have your ice packs frozen solid. I brought packs with me since I would be pumping when we were there and I did not freeze them first. They were then confiscated. Whoops.
Finally, the vent: Today was my first day back at work. I pumped in the bathroom because I realized my new room has huge windows right next to construction workers. It was a PIA. And when I picked Viv up, she smelled like an old lady's basement. I don't know why, but it's gross.
Hope you all had a great day. Thanks for letting me share.
Re: An AW, PSA, and vent all in one
A15 January Siggy Challenge-
Poop explosion. I had all of our luggage on me and no clean spare outfit (even though I ALWAYS have one) so I threw her clothes away in the airport bathroom.
So adorable! She really does look ashamed haha. I love that Jungle Cruise pic- those eyes!! I'm glad you had such a great time, what an awesomely fun, spontaneous trip! That stinks about your milk though, who knew?!
ETA: Did she do well on the plane? That's one of the reasons we drove with L- I HATE flying, and I would be too afraid of him being really unhappy and making it worse...
I was SO nervous about the plane. She fell asleep on my lap as soon as we got on and then of course I had to pee. Ha. But then she went back to sleep. It was an early flight (7:30 ish) so we had to get her up at 4:30 and that really worked in our favor. She only slept about 45 minutes on the way home and she started getting a little fussy, but nothing too bad. I nursed her a ton which probably contributed to the poop explosion. Ha.
My friend said she is going to make me some curtains for my room so hopefully that will help with the pumping situation.
Thanks for the compliments. It is nice after a long day away from my LO. Major props to those of you that have been back to work for a while!
Great pics and glad you guys had fun! I love the walk of shame pic. Don't they always have poo explosions at the worst possible times?
Sorry about the old lady smell. Yuck. Viv just needs a nice bath and some cuddles with mama!
Oh yes this has happened to us before! We've had many a nekkid baby before (with DS1) and also when he's gotten himself super dirty or wet outside in public with no change of clothes. Kid in underpants and singlet walking down the street. Klassy! I love the walk of shame pic, she does look a bit embarrassed:) She is a beautiful baby, wow.
I realized today I have a similar window problem. My school's u shaped and you can see into my classroom if you walk down one hall way. So much for pumping at my desk...I sat in the supply closet and pumped lol.
