I need overnight diaper suggestions

My LO is only 19 lbs and has skinny leggs.  I need a diaper with great overnight protection.  Swaddlers isn't cutting it anymore we have had at least 3 blow outs in the past month.  I am open to any brand as long as they have a size that can fit a 19 lb baby.

Suggestions?

  • Have you tried going up a size?  Liam is in size 3's during the day and we never have any leaking or blowouts, but that same size at night just doesn't cut it, so we moved him up to 4's for nighttime only...problem solved!

  • How about the Pampers overnights? I've been really happy with them. I prefer them over the Huggies overnights. Also, DD is 22 lbs, but has been in size 4 for a few months now. Maybe try going up a size?

  • I use disposables only at night and have found success with Pampers overnight.  Stella is a skinny child...maybe aroud 20 lbs. now.  Haven't had any leaking issues nor blow out issues (now granted, these days we are usually treated to 'poop balls' which is actually quite conveniently in that it is not blowout prone as well as easy for the cloth diaper clean up).

  • No I did not try going up a size b/c swaddlers does not come in a 4 Smile

I guess I will try a small set of the hugges and a small set of the pampers and make a decision from there.  I think I have a pampers coupon still so I will try that first.

And she is still in a size 3, btw.

  • We used Swaddlers from sizes NB-2, but then started having leak issues. We've been using Baby Dry during the day and Extra Protection (Pamper's overnights) at night in a size up. Though now he's just in 4's for day and night.

This is us too. Maya wears a 3 during the day (swaddlers) and then at night we went to 4's (Cruisers) and it has worked out for us!

  • i used disposables overnight too.  we use nature babycare, because they are partially biodegradable.  no idea how they compare to other disposables, but they work fine for us at night.

  • You guys make me feel like my LO is huge...he's been in 5s for over a month during the day, and we had to bump up to 6s over night last week.  (He was over 25lbs and 33" at his 12 month appt, so he's just a big boy.)  Pampers Baby Dry is fantastic!
