SO RUDE!

So today was my first day back to work as I am a wonderful teacher, and most people congratulated me on my pregnancy. It was really nice UNTIL the 400 lb janitor lady asked me if I was having TWINS! and then proceeded to say that I looked way too big to only be going into my second TRI! I AM SO OFFENDED! I know I am showing but I didn't think I was that big yet. A salad for me tonight...:(

    It's like the filter that is supposed to be on everyone's mouths magically disappears when they talk to a pregnant lady. People are idiots in general.

    You are going to hear so many comments from one extreme to the other, it's hard to discern which ones to take to heart. I am extremely sensitive about my weight, and I've always had eating and image issues so when I was pregnant with my DD it was a very foreign experience to not be able to control ever lb. My mom came over one day with my sister (who was 5 weeks further along than me) and as I came walking out to greet her she said "piggy piggy 2 x 4". I was absolutely dumbstruck!!! She meant it in an endearing way like- you're showing finally, how cute, but I definitely took it how it sounded... I also got a lecture from the lady behind the fabric counter at Jo-Anne's about how I was too big for 32 weeks, and I shouldn't be on partial bed rest because I was only 32 weeks. At the end of the day, you are growing a miracle and that's all that matters!

    hhahaha probably. I am only 4"11 so I popped as soon as I hit 3 months! but she made it seem like I looked 9 months pregnant!! ARGHHH!! tomorrow I am going with a baggier shirt lol

    I am the same way TW. I am very sensitive about my weight bc it has fluctuated over the years. I really could have smacked her. It's so hard not to be self conscious even while pregnant. I hope karma smacks her for that one. Thanks for the great advice:)

    People have no filter. 

    I would not worry about wearing baggier shirts.  My one co-workers says "flaunt it if you have it."  Don't worry about showing that cute bump!

    Some people are so clueless! I am sure you look fab and she is just some bitter ol biatch! lol.

    And if it makes you feel any better I told some coworkers today and one of their response was "It totally makes sense now that you tell me. You have been looking so tired all summer... and your face has been breaking out pretty bad". Like wtf! I am well aware this is happening but we don't need some skwanks to point this stuff out!

    I would have used the line from Sex and The City and said "what your excuse, are you having triplets?!"  Okay so I probably wouldn't actually say that, but that would be pretty awesome.
