My poor babe. 4 month shots

My babe doesn't handle shots very well.  He already has a small fever, and is whiney.  I think I might have to look at an alternative schedule for him for now on, if its even possible at this stage.

His stats: 25 percent for weight at 14 lbs 10 oz.

100 percentile for length at 27.5 inches!  Long and lean.  My pedi is old school, and told me to start cereal next week because he is not STTN.  I think I am still going to wait until 5 months.  J is starting to show signs of rediness, but I am not convinced just yet.

But, I am off today tomorrow and Thursday, so I will just enjoy all the cuddle time!!!

Re: My poor babe. 4 month shots

  • I broke up the shots until his 4 month shots when I got them all together. He seemed to do about the same as when I gave him half the shots, it was just better that he wasn't hurting for as long. When ever we have new shots, I want to still break them up, but since DS did about the same have having them broken up or not broken up I'm planning on giving them all together. I'm sure every baby is different though. Also, I'm not sure if you saw my post earlier, but we just started oatmeal two nights ago and he started STTN, well, he did last night. I'll see if he keeps doing it or not though.

Just try to give him lots of cuddles, and tylenol.

  • We had 4 month shots today too.  So far he's just been extra sleepy, but mostly happy, which is good!

I love my doctors office.  She brings in a nurse and they do the 2 shots at the same time, so only 1 instance of ouchie.

When I mentioned how crappy he's been sleeping, her only suggestion was Ferberizing, if we're ok with that.  Which I'm currently not, though he does need some changes.

    Enjoy the cuddles!

  • J had a rough time with her 4 month shots too. I hope your little guy feels better soon!

My pedi is super old school and told me to let him CIO.  I actually laughed on accident and said no, that doesn't work for our family.  I told the pedi I would rather start oatmeal than let him cry.  He seriously looked at me like I had an arm sticking out of my head or something.
