It seems like there are so many girly princessy books out there, that it is hard to find a good boy book. So I wanted to share a book that Noah got from a friend, it's called Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site. It is SO cute! It talks about 5 different construction vehicles and what they do during the day, then they get themselves all ready for bed. It's a family favorite at our house.
Anyone have any other great boy books?
Re: Story books for Boys
I wouldn't say our books are necessarily geared toward a particular gender, but a few of DS's favorites right now are The Cat in the Hat, a book called Boss Baby from the Hallmark store, Little Blue Truck, and a Star Wars Spaceships book.
Goodnight books that he likes are Goodnight Gorilla, Before I Go to Sleep & A Cuddle for Little Duck.
He does have his share of truck books, though!
DS has a lot of my and my brother's old books, so sadly a lot of them are out of print.
One of his most favorite new books is Little Blue Truck. We read it five times yesterday, and a couple times he cried when it was over. LOL There is also a sequel out but we haven't gotten it just yet.
I didn't know there was a sequel to Little Blue Truck - thanks for posting!
"My Name is Not Alexander," is one of my favorites (if not his...it's a little old for him right now). But it's about famous historical men and it ends with talking about how Daddy is the best man of them all. Bonus is that the character is named Alexander!
There is also one for girls about famous women called My Name is Not Isabella.
