When r ur 1st ob apt and u/s? Dd was an ivf baby so we had tons of apts but this bean was natural I hate that description btw and I'm not scheduled for a first apt till week 13. That's seems really late to me. Could it have been a secretary screw up?

I will be 8 weeks 6 days at my first prenatal appt. My midwives generally schedule first appointments for between 8 and 12 weeks. Your appointment may be a little on the later side, but I don't see anything wrong with that. The good news is you'll definitely get to hear the heartbeat when you go!

ETA: I won't be having a u/s until the anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks.

I had mine at 7w6d, but it was due to a secretary error. I was supposed to be almost 11 weeks, but the secretary put my LMP date as June 10th, not June 30th.

12 weeks (week 13) is on the "high" end of normal for a 1st appointment, but still normal. Bright side: Your u/s pics will be sooooo much better than earlier ones.

Mine is thursday....it's been forever since my BFP. Freaking ready. lol I will be 9wk6d. Want to see that sweet heartbeat(s?). We'll see!!

I had my first ob appt when I was 7 weeks 5 days. I have an u/s this Thursday and I will be 8 weeks 6 days. My ob basically asked if I wanted an u/s and I said yes so she wrote up the paperwork as "viability and dating" u/s. I have my second ob appt on Oct 1st and I will be 12 weeks 3 days.

My first appointment is this Thursday, I'll be estimated 7w3d, but only for a blood pregnancy test, they test hcg levels and if they are over 2,000 then they schedule me for an ultrasound. So I won't know until probably early next week about any follow up appointments.

My office schedules 1st appointments during the 8-9 week range...I have already been twice due to spotting...but this Thursday is my first 'offical' ob appointment and I will be 8w4d.

13 weeks does sound like a little far...maybe you can call and you might get someone different that might be able to reschedule your appointment for sooner?

I had my first u/s on August 21. We thought I was 7w1d, based on my LMP but I wasn't even 5 weeks then. I have my second u/s for dating and to hear the heartbeat on the 12 at 7w6d. My first ob appt. is on the 18 at 8w5d

My first OB appt isn't until I am in my 5th month. I have shared care so my family dr sees me until that point. I went in to see him a day or 2 after my BFP (around 5wks) and then I went last week for my 1st prenatal appointment to go through all the paperwork/questions etc (8wks) and today was my physical (9wks). 1st US will be at 13 wks but only as a part of the ISB testing and a 20 wk anatomy scan
