We went to the aquarium yesterday

And DD was sort of scared.  Sad

She was really curious about everything, but did NOT want to be put down so she could stand in front of the tanks and watch the fish.  If we tried to put her down to stand on the floor, she turned right around and started climbing back into our arms.  Even just standing and holding her in front of a tank - after a few minutes, she would turn away from the tank and hug us tight like she was scared.  Terrified of the penguins, too.  Not crying and hysterical terrified, but curious and terrified - she watched them pretty intently, but had a death grip on DH the whole time.  She adored the sea lion show, and clapped through most of it.  We bought a membership, so we'll be going back a lot.  Hopefully she'll get to love it like DH and I do. 

Have you taken LOs to the aquarium?  What did they think?

    Does Petco count? Stick out tongue  We're hoping to do a bumpie G2G at the aqarium at some point, haven't gotten to planning it yet, it's a little farther than usual.  Hopefully she has more fun soon!

    We took DD1 to the aquarium on her first birthday. She loved it and wanted to be as close to the tanks as possible. She's always been fascinated by fish. 

    I'll bet after another visit or two things will start to be familiar and less scary and your LO will love it :)

    We have been to the aquarium inside of the zoo, and she absolutely loved it. She loved the sharks swimming over our heads through a tunnel. But she was a little younger so I will let you know how scared she is on Tuesday when we go.. Lol.

    We are going Friday for Max's birthday. I hope he does ok. He is so curious about everything so I figure he'll enjoy it. I'm sorry she was scared. I'm sure when she is older she'll love it!

    I haven't. But want to go Soo bad. A new one just opened up in my area. 

    I wonder if it was a bit overwhelming or I have heard of having a case of claustrophobia in aquariums. I'm sure she will learn to love it!

    We went in mid-June, and she was entranced by the jelly fish exhibit. She wasn't too impressed with the rest of the place though. It was pretty crowded and loud.
