Since you are 'more mature' (re:older) and Canadian just like me, do/did you every listen to Matthew Good or Matthew Good Band? I'm just rocking out to the Vancouver album and thought I would ask.
I've seen him in concert something like 10 times.

I'm in Windsor, Ontario and he isn't very well known in these parts but I had an awesome friend who opened my eyes. I've seen him in Sarnia (twice), London (2 or 3 times), Toronto (once), some speedway, Windsor (once - he came to our city!), Detroit (twice) and that's all I can remember right now.
He did play Detroit back in February when I was 30-something weeks pregnant but I couldn't get anyone to go with me. I was so sad.
The first time I heard an acoustic version of Prime Time Deliverance I almost cried. Actually, I have a cover by this guy Jeremy Wilson and it's SO good.
ETA - Detroit was probably 3-4 times.

Yeah, I knew Matt was big out west but no one south of Toronto had usually heard of him here. I was a HUGE follower back in the day and even posted on a fan board all the time. Got his autograph and a picture after a show in London.
Does your Mom still live here? I didn't know you had been here. You could totally come hang with me and mrs teddy (who I just saw at Costco - small world).
Yeah, a border town has a LOT of advantages. Great concerts over in Detroit, lots of flight options with their large airport and the shopping is good. I also went to university in Detroit. That way I could still live at home and commute for pharmacy school instead of moving to Toronto since we only had one pharmacy school in Ontario when I went.

Re: *~*smudgee~*~ Canadian music question
Love MAtthew Good. I have seen him live a bazillion times. I loved how he always played smaller venues.
What part of Canada do you live in?

My mom is from Windsor and I was there a month ago!
He was huge out here on the west coast.
If I lived in windsor I would have totally gone with you!
Slightly jealous you live in a border town....
