Surgery Was A Success

Thanks for the T & P for my thyroid cancer surgery. Everything went well for me and LO. The surgeon removed my thyroid and 1 parathyroid and 12 lymph nodes from one side of my neck and 20 from the other. He thinks he got all the cancer so the next step will be radioactive iodine treatment after the baby is born and that should be the end of it. The recovery from surgery is more painful than I expected but I am slowly getting better and will be returning to work on Thursday. I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow morning and she's going to do an ultrasound and possibly we'll see if it's a boy or girl. I'm really looking forward to that
