Have you noticed any changes in LO's sleeping patterns since you started giving them something rather than just milk/formula? DS has woken up at least 2 times per night for the past 3 months. Sunday, ds had oatmeal for the first time and he only woke up once. Then last night he actually slept through the night! He only had the oatmeal twice now, but I wasn't sure if this is merely a fluke or if the oatmeal really is helping this sleep longer.

Like Ernie said, I doubt L is getting enough from being spoon fed for it make a difference. BUT I have noticed that he's starting to sleep longer again (we went through a bit of a sleep regression the last few weeks where he was waking up every 2-3 hours again), I doubt it's from eating the oatmeal though. Your DS might just be ending the phase he was in, babies are ever-changing!
You start with 1 tablespoon oatmeal with 4-5 tablespoons of BM/formula. Then you slowly add less liquid to make it thicker. Once that's enough for them, you can up the serving of oatmeal (a full serving is 4 tablespoons).
