TTC after 35

Cleaning bites, but turning lemons into lemonade.

Since I'm TTC, I can't turn it into a Lemon Fizz or use it in a Margarita.

Anywho, I was cleaning/organizing my dressing room (no, I'm not glamorous; the rooms in my house are small and our bed takes up one room so all our dressers are in the next room over) and I came across a toddler-size rugby ball MH and I bought when we were naive and hopeful.

Instead of bursting into tears like I did when I rediscovered the little bib and All Blacks baby outfit, I've decided to reclaim the item and I've put it under my pillow for good luck when BDing (we are on day 4 of a 15-16 day BD marathon).

Screw this powerless, passive "The Universe is All-Controlling" mumbo-jumbo. I'm reclaiming my power, dagnabbit!!!

  • Good for you!  I myself had a baby outfit under my bed for a couple of years--thought it might bring me some luck.  Then one day I was cleaning out some stuff in the under-bed storage box and I looked over and saw that the cat had thrown up on the cute little dress.  :(

    Darn cat.

Me: 40 Dh: 41, TTC since August 2009, began Acupuncture and Herbs Sept 2011, began Temping and Charting Nov 2011. image
  • Congratulations!! And I hope your cat doesn't throw up on it. :-)

Llamamama - this made me laugh out loud and choke on my coffee.  Thank you.

PS - Sorry about the dress though.

  • This is one of the major reasons our cat is no longer allowed in our bedroom. Although, with Il Duce, it's more a urine issue than a vomit issue. He seems to feel bad about the vomiting, but when he gets angry about something he literally gets pissed off and I usually find a bag or pile of laundry that has a distinct "Parfum du chat" and an orange, whiskered face peering around the corner as I make my discovery...
