I am so thankful that for the majority of this pregnancy I was super busy with travel and work and moving and family stuff. Now that everything has calmed down and the baby has dropped and my due date is in less than 24 hours, I am entirely bored out of my mind.
I can only go on so many walks and re-tidy up the baby's room so many times. I have already cooked enough now frozen meals to last until christmas and can't do much more retail therapy. ARGH... come out already! Anyone else feel this way? I think I might go buy a puzzle or the biggest novel available to read.

Re: Waiting to meet him/her...worse than watching water boil
Me! And DH is getting restless too.
We've been finding things to do... We had game night the other night, and I made him play Candyland. We went to the library and got a bunch of new books. We cleaned the kitchen. We cleaned out our email inboxes. We made triple-layer jello. We are re-watching all the seasons of The West Wing
And you know DH is restless when he says to me, "Why don't we see what your mom is up to?" and so we had movie night with my mom last night. :P
Definitely!
The first few months of this pregnancy were agonizingly slow. I had a miscarriage late last year and I was just a bundle of nerves and anxiety. It was torture. But I feel like once we hit May/June it went to warp speed. I don't know WHERE the summer has gone! I think back to things we did in late June/early July and it feels like that was a lifetime ago.
And now I'm just creating things to do to keep myself busy. My house is spotless. Every bit of laundry we own is clean. I've started 3 or 4 books, I think. I'm running out of projects, so she HAS to come soon!
This is awesome. And, can I just say... Chutes and Ladders is like...the hardest freaking kid's game EVER. It takes us about an hour and a half to finish that one.
Oh im with you! starting my 3rd week of Mat leave this week, i was hoping to only need 2 weeks.. not much else left to do.. washing small loads every couple of days..kitchen is clean..
I have 24 hours too!
Chutes and Ladders is the hardest! It's pretty much impossible to teach kids how to play it when they are young because of the gridlike path. The whole go across a row, and then up, and then across, and up is so tricky when you can't count to 100. And it takes forever. :
