Hi ladies! I'm hoping someone can help me out. For Halloween I was thinking it might be cute to DIY a ring sling using this giraffe fabric and then I'll order these ears and tail for myself https://www.amazon.com/Giraffe-Ears-and-Tail-Set/dp/B001TOOAZW
Question is - does that fabric seem like it would be ok for a ring sling? I'll only use this once, maybe twice and the baby isnt due until the end of September so he will still be pretty small (I HOPE!). I plan on buying my rings from www.slingrings.com
If you have made your own ring sling, was it easy? I'm just a rookie at sewing, but I figure for a one time thing this shouldnt be too difficult!
Thanks for your input.

I'm not sure about the fabric, but I would think with an infant and only using it once you could get by... especially if the fabric was wide enough and you doubled it over to make it more supportive.. I don't know!
You also could just do a rebozo carry with a slip knot so you wouldn't have to buy the rings (unless you wanted to make another ring sling later). There are youtube videos on tying slip knots.
I'll look this up! I'm not too familiar w slings so thank you!
I think it should be fine for a small baby - it does say medium weight so hopefully it won't be too thin (but if it is, just do a double layer).

Cute idea!
