Ugh...they're sick!!

My babies have their first cold.  I gave it to them and I feel awful.  We are doing saline spray and sucking their noses out with the bulb syringe.  We've also got a vaporizer going and have rubbed their little chests down with Vicks Babyrub.  Anything else we should be doing?  They seem so miserable, but they aren't running a fever, so we haven't given them any Tylenol liquid (our pedi gave us the dosage, but said not to give it unless they are feverish).

    We are going through the same thing right now. DS doesn't have a fever either so I've just been doing the same as you.

    Just keep doing what you are doing... when my little one was sick with a cold we did the same but added the baby tempra more for the little aches she may have felt instead of for fever.   Hopefully they will feel better soon ;)   hugZZZ

    It sounds like you're doing all the right things.  They should feel better each day.  Sorry they are sick :(  It sucks, I know!

    Yup, 3 year old and 3 month old both have it too. :( Sounds like you are doing everything right -- just have to get through it.

    Thanks ladies.  We made it through the day and they are sleeping...for now.  Hope all our little ones are feeling better soon!

    My daughter just got over her first cold. It's sad to hear them trying to breathe while so congested, it sounds so miserable.

    I found this to be exponentially more effective than the bulb syringe at clearing out snot: https://www.amazon.com/Nosefrida-The-Snotsucker-Nasal-Aspirator/dp/B00171WXII

    It's definitely not for the squeamish though.

    I saw it on a 'must-have baby products' list when I was pregnant and all the great ratings convinced me. I am so glad I bought it.
