A little back story......one of my great girlfriends and I were pregnant at the same time. She was due in July.....in January she found out she was having twins! At 20 weeks pregnant the discovered 5 fibroids, one the size of a cantelope. They put her on bedrest and hope for her to make it to 24 weeks. Well she made it to 34 weeks and the girls, Sierra & Arya, were born on June 10.

This past weekend her and her fiance and the girls went camping......she put them down for an afternoon nap on Saturday and went to check on them right before dinner and Sierra was non-responsive. They called 911 and did CPR on her (as NICU babies, parents are trained how to do this). They got to the hospital and had a mechnical heartbeat, but that was all....she had no brain activity, so they pulled her from the machine. She passed away from SIDS.

My heart hurts so deeply for them. I look at my LO and feel so blessed, and all I can do is hold her and tell both my girls how much I love them.

I can't even start to imagine your friends pain. Once your baby is in your arms you think that they are all yours and that nothing can happen to them.

Thank you for all your T & P's. This is very sureal for my DH & I.....hits us like a ton of bricks. They are having her service this Saturday and they are doing a viewing. I don't think I can do it, I don't think I can look at a 3month old that way. The thought of it breaks me into pieces. I told Kim (the mom) that I will go to the viewing, but with all respect in the world, I can't see her little girl that way.
