TMI question...

Just wondering if anyone else is leaking from their boobs? And if so, is it normal that I only leak at night while I am asleep? I wake up most mornings with big wet spots on my shirts- but never have even a drop come out while I am awake. Also, has anyone had a breast reduction (or other surgery where they had a chance of not being able to breast feed) and it turns out they could? I was told when I had the surgery that it was an 80% chance that I could not breast feed, but at my first OB visit- they said I have a much better chance than that - is leaking a sign that I will be able to?

Re: TMI question...

  • I can't offer any advice or info on the surgery, but I leak a lot. I it happens more at night because you put pressure on your boobs while you sleep.

  • I had a breast reduction a few years back and at that time my doctor told me that there are instances where breast feeding can be a problem, but that typically things work normally. So, I think all I did was confuse the situation with 2 completely different doctors assessments. I have been leaking at night a bit, but only on my left side.

  • Well, for me ironically, I had a reduction this past March and found out I was expecting a month later. According to my surgeon, they normally don't sever your milk ducts so there is a good chance you/we could breastfeed. But I understand it depends on your body too. As of now, I haven't experienced any leaking. probably because of the surgery... IDK. just an opinion.
