Mason still will not let us read him a book. At best, we get 1/2 a page in before he says "no" and shuts the book and gets down and walks away. It makes me so sad, I love read and would like to share that with him. He'd rather flip through the pages on his own. Anyone else have a LO who has no interest in being read to?

Re: S/o books and boys...
What about books where he can help "do" something? Like make it interactive?
We have this and Aiden LOVES it.

He also loves the Five Silly Monkeys, Five Little Ladybugs and Five Stars books and I have him help count the stars and he loves it. While Aiden will sit and listen to books for awhile, he definitely has times when he doesn't, and in those cases I always try to involve him a lot more. Even if it is just asking him to help turn the pages.
Or, something like this?

We have this one too, and it's fun to sit and talk about the pictures and find stuff together.
Nate has only recently decided to sit through the entire book, so give it time! I agree, he likes the ones that have more interactive things too, like something to touch or smell. (He loves the Shiny, Touchy, Feely books)

It's very possible! Except I mostly read on my iPad. But I like the idea of mimicking his mommy.

Thats exactly it, Jilly. He really doesn't have the attention span. I really hope I can teach him to learn to love books!
