I am a Southern girl all day long. So sweet tea is my drink of choice 9 times out of 10. If you want to know the truth, I can drink a gallon of tea by myself in a 24 hour period.
Now that I have started weight watchers I can't drink my sweet tea. And don't even mention fake sweeteners, YUCK! I can't even do the plant extracts sweet stuff. It's all just so nasty. Not to mention, they aren't very good for you.
So what do you drink throughout the day?
Re: What do you drink?
I'm southern too but I don't like tea (don't shoot me!). I drink one diet dr. pepper in the morning then it's water for me the rest of the day. That's all I really like. No juice, no regular cokes, no tea, no coffee. I'm boring.
Ha ha! Yeah I don't do Splenda, Stuvia, Stevia, Sweet n low, or any of the others. Tea isn't tea to me unless it's made with real sugar.
I hate diet drinks, too. I can taste the sweeteners. I don't like juice or sweet drinks either. Now I will drink Cherry Walmart Brand Crystal Light (yes I know it's made with those fake sweeteners I hate.)
I guess I better just start drinking water. I just get so bored with it.
I drink lots of Crystal Light in order to get my water in. I will drink plain water but I don't like it as much as when it's flavored. Artificial sweetners don't bother me though. When I was pregnant and avoiding the artificial stuff I would drink Crystal Light Pure....doesn't have the fake stuff. Maybe you could try that.
I also drink tons of diet gingerale. And skim milk with dinner every night.
I will have to look for the Crystal Light Pure. I have never even seen it. But I wasn't looking either. Thanks
That's awesome. Congrats.
I told a friend of mine today that I am tired of being fat and have no other reason for it but pure laziness. I worked out today at home on my own because my class was closed for labor day. I plan to work out 5 days a week and save all my weekly points to eat whatever I want on Sundays.

Weight Watchers worked really well for me. If you follow it by the book, it's an awesome guideline to learn about portion control, balancing good eating with treats, and the calorie content of foods that are deceptively bad for you! (strangely enough, I missed salads the most when I was on WW! I almost never ate them bc I'm a ranch cobb salad type girl and I never did find a fake ranch I really liked!)
As for drinks, I am a sad excuse for a Texas girl. I hate sweet tea and love unsweet iced tea, so I drink that, water, and diet soda. If you need a little more flavor in your tea but don't want to do any sweetener, I do like to use flavored herbal teas to make iced tea. At work I'll even brew a cup of hot tea, have a big cup of ice, and then pour the hot tea over the ice. instant iced tea in a bunch of flavors!
This is an awesome idea. Do you have any recommendations for flavored tea?
I drink water all day- I crave it and don't think anything quenches my thirst like a glass of water. I do drink 1-2 cups of coffee in the am/ afternoon but I'm trying ti cut that down, b/c I use a lot of french vanilla creamer and the calories from it add up.
When I'm around my mom I drink hot tea much more often- she always has fresh loose tea brewed. I take tea with just lemon and no sugar so I should start drinking that instead of my coffee and I'll probably lose a couple pounds!
I love regular sweet tea but unfortunately it does not fare well with my diet. Splenda to me is just fine. I dont like Sweet N Low or any others. I buy the big bag and mix it like normal tea. We drink alot of it in our house too. When my DH is home, we go through a pitcher a day.
You should start drinking "Spa Water". Add some sliced cucumbers, oranges, apples, or whatever you like to it. Gives it a bit of flavor but still good for you. There are tons of other combos out there as well, just google it!!
ETA: Just fill a pitcher and let the fruit or whatever sit overnight and get super chilled and merried.
Water.
This might sound weird, but the method of delivery makes the difference for me. If I have a Camelbak bottle with me almost all of the time. Through a straw, I find that I'll suck down a large quantity of water, but if I had to put it in a glass I wouldn't touch it!

Yes I tried their "sweet tea". I threw up in my mouth. LOL. I really am weird when it comes to my drinks. I don't like any soda drinks besides Coke & Pepsi. Anything else will give me a stomach ache.
I will have to try this. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
I drink unsweet iced tea, hot tea with a little honey, coffee, or water.
Growing up we had sweet sweet tea. Now when I go back home and drink tea at my parents' house I gag because it is so dang sweet.

I just kind of grab whatever's on sale! I like Black Currant iced tea, so I've tried a few different brands, all pretty good. Lipton even makes some kind of fun flavors in the boxes that have the pyramid shaped tea bags? They have a berry black tea that is pretty good and an orange blossom hibiscus herbal. I think there are bits of fruit in the actual tea bag. There is also a girl tha sells loose flavored teas at my farmers market. I use it in a Mr Coffee iced tea brewer thing, it's really good!

Thanks!
I actually like completely unsweetened iced tea with a lemon wedge :-/ so I can't help there.
I also like water with fresh-squeezed lemon.

While at work it's coffee and water in the morning, water throughout the day (not nearly as much as I should) and a Diet Dr Pepper with lunch. Some days I give up and drink Diet Pepsi from the fountain machine all day. Then once I'm home it's one of those litre's of flavored water.
On the weekends it's diet dr pepper most of the day, sadly. I am addicted to soda!
We seriously need a soda stream! We almost bought one a few years ago and now that they're everywhere we need to get one!
I drink a lot of water also because I too hate the taste of fake sweeteners. I was back on a pop kick but could tell I was gaining weight so I am back to just water. Have you tried the True Lemon products? It's like adding lemon, lime or orange juice to your water. I have tried the lemon and its pretty good, might help make water more "fun." Looks like they have a raspberry lemonade, lemon tea and greapefruit ones too. Maybe the tea one would be a good substitute?
