Menorah hospital vs Shawnee mission

I'm fairly new to the kc area and am 19 weeks pregnant. Very excited, but very nervous about which hospital to deliver at. I should also mention I am having a scheduled csection. My Obgyn delivers at Shawnee Mission Medical Center or Menorah. My husband and I have toured both hospitals, but we are still confused. Please help! I would love to hear your comments and experiences. Thank you so much!!

    I had a really good experience at SMMC. My planned VBAC turned into to an emergency CS (ruptured uterus) and the staff handled it all beautifully. If I were having a third I would have no problems delivering there again.

    My doctor delivers at both hospitals, but also at St. Luke's South, and we ended up choosing South.  Love, love, love the nursing staff here!   So great and supportive with the stress of delivery -- in labor for a whole day and then delivered via c-section, and DD ended up being transferrred to Children's Mercy the day after due to concerns about her heart.  All  is great now, but still in touch with several South nurses because they were there for me when the going got tough.   Check and see if your doctor delivers there, too -- it will depend what group you are in...
