Poor DH

I feels so bad for my DH right now.  He has been at the hospital since about 8:30 this morning, because our next door neighbour is on her way out.  She has been a constant in his life. She and her husband gave him refuge when his dad was getting abusive and have always looked out for him.. He , in return has looked out for them for the last 10 years or so.  Her husband passed away about 3 years ago and shortly before he did, he gave us an acre of property to build a house.  We built our house , moved in and all this time, DH has taken such good care of her, even if it meant time a way from his family. I just feel so bad because he is losing his good friend/ adoptive parent.  This week is gonna be hard.

I'm glad she's not alone. Good luck to you both this week.

And she would have been alone if it weren't for her BFF and him.  She has 3 kids, but 2 out of the three haven't been to see her since her husband died.  The third was DH 's BF growing up and lives 3 hours away and he is doing his level best to care for her , but DH has been to see her at least 5 times a week for the last 3 months.

  • That's too bad that he is going through that (and you having to see him go through that) but it just shows his loyalty by staying by her side. Hopefully he can look back on the memories with a smile. ::Hugs::
  • Your husband sounds like a good man. I'm really sorry he's having to say goodbye to someone very special to him.
