DS doesn't want to roll over anymore

So my DS rolled over front to back and back to front for a week straight and now he just stopped and doesn't even try anymore. I have been trying for weeks now to get him do it again, but lately he has been trying to scoot himself. I feel like he is telling "OK mom I showed you I can roll over now I want to crawl" lol. Anybody else's baby doing the same?

No - Blake isn't even rolling yet. He'll be 5 months this week. I brought it up at his 4m peds appt, but she wasn't concerned.

At least you know he can do it!! Sounds like he wants to skip that step!

Peyton did the same thing about rolling belly to back. She also had been babbling for a while and then stopped for about a week.

There are studies that show that a baby will stop performing one milestone while working on another. So keep an eye out for something new! Big Smile

C was rolling both ways since about 3 months. I used to put her down, and she would roll all over. The past about three weeks she hasn't rolled once! She just lays on her back and kicks her feet up. No scooting yet....but she definitely is over the rolling ha

luke rolled over right after his 3 month bday and about 5 times since but he really just isn't interested... i know he can do it but why not more often?

Ds didn't roll from belly to back much for awhile was he figured out back to belly. Now he with throw both rolls in and just roll himself across the room mixes with scoots. It was over a month where he didn't roll belly to back I bet.
