To call or not to call? WWYD?

Ok. First off, I know my health and baby's safety should come before the doctors holiday weekend. Lol but I've had a ton of pelvic pressure way down in my lady bits starting at like 2am. I figured that was just LO getting closer to her exit. But then this morning sorry tmi I noticed I had a pretty significant increase in discharge, to the point where I debated throwing on a panty liner.
I just had a FetalFibroNectin test done last week and it came back negative meaning chances of labor in the next two weeks was 3
LO's Heartbeat is strong and regular at 140 bpm home monitor and she's still active and moving.
All in all... At what point should i ruin the oncall doctors labor day weekend by interrupting them? especially if it's because I'm a FTM and a worry wart!

  • I personally wouldn't call but those symptoms wouldn't concern me. If they concern you then by all means call. Trust your intuition.

Since you've had previous issues I would call. I had the FetalFibroNectin test done too and it came back negative. I had Cooper 3 days later. My Dr. said she doesn't really believe the test often.

Anyways, I think it's always best to be safe in these situations. Do what your gut says, and if you're asking a message board I would say that means you're thinking you need to call.

^^^ she is a better person to listen to than I am :)

I agree with this. I've been having pelvic pressure and have been wearing pantiliners for a week. Nothing to be concerned about, just normal symptoms of pregnancy.

  • Increased pelvic pressure and vaginal discharge are normal at this stage of pregnancy, but if you are worried it never hurts to call! I hope everything turns out ok!
