Baby kicking mattress

C has been kicking the crap out of his mattress. He brings both legs up and brings them down really hard. It gets so loud that it wakes us up. I asked my mom if he does this at her house and he does. I just hope there he doesn't have like RLS or anything like that.

    My DD does this too ALL. THE. TIME! It is usually when she is just going down or starting to wake up. This girl is going to have super strong leg and stomach muscles because they are constantly sticking straight up in the air while she is sleeping too. I don't think it's a big deal. Just a restless sleeper.

    I was seriously going to post this exact thing this morning! She kicks like crazy. And she's rotating around the crib. I would ignore it but she gets too close to the crib bars and starts to kick them. I was up moving her 5 times last night. It kind of sucked. You're right it is really loud, too. I'm sorry I have no idea why they're doing this, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone does. My only guess is she likes to kick a lot when she plays so maybe she just does it in her sleep too?

    Thad is the king of the kick.  He does it because he likes the sound and it helps him not fall asleep.  Because, you know, sleep is evil.  

    He also kicks the crap out of the crib bars.  Doesn't seem to hurt him, so I just let him be a "psychokicker." please, please let someone get my dorky music joke.

    DS does it too, especially when he's waking up. It freaked me out in the vMOTN because at first I thought someone was breaking into our house!

    We have a kicker here too! He does it as he falls asleep. Now that he's started to sleep on his side, he does not do it as much.

    DS does this too!! He kicks until he falls asleep, then he wakes up kicking. We have the video monitor on the side rail of the crib, and I've noticed it shaking everytime he kicks now because he does it so hard! He's gunna knock it right off!

    I never thought of RLS but I have it..maybe he does too??

    DS does this too. We call it the whale tail. He kicks so hard and it's really loud, i'm not sure how his abs don't hurt in the morning
