  • I'm type 1 diabetic and have been since I was a kid so when people drink gatorade instead of water, it irks me. Not that it's terrible for you, it's just a pointless amount of sugar added to your daily intake. Normally a serving of gatorade has about 40 or so carbs and 64 ounces is about 8 servings. To me, that's a pointless amount of added sugar to your diet. Yes gatorade will help with your electrolytes and various other levels in your body but water is water for a reason and it's so much better for you! If you don't like the plain taste of water you can add those packets in to flavor them; they usually have no additional sugar or changes to the water itself.
