    Aw man, I am JEALOUS!!!

I miss France! Where are you going/where do your ILs live?? I hope you have an awesome, relaxing, and rejuvenating time! I can't wait to hear your news on Sept. 10th!!

MH is from Marseille, his parents and most of his extended family still live there. We'll be there for the 1st 4-5 days, then we'll stay at a summer home the family has in a beach town not far from Marseille.  We plan to spend time at the beach and a few day trips...one of my favorite places is Aix-en-Provence. We may stay at that summer home the entire time or take a side trip somewhere, we'll see.

How long were you in France? Where did you stay?

ETA: That summer home has no internet, so most likely I won't be able to post results til we get home.

I spent most of my time in France in Paris, Normandy (in a little place called Granville) and in a town in the Vend?e. Also some decent time in Bretagne, near Quimper and such. My parents LOVE Provence and we have some friends who live there. MH studied in France, spending a lot of time in Le Mans. It's one of our dreams to go there together, though. I've got invites from friends, but they are haute-bourgeousie and sometimes can be a bit awkward to be around (one of them has a mural in her dining room that is a trompe-l'oeil piece imitating a garden/varanda view, with a little black boy dressed up like a sultan standing by with drinks on a tray-- awkward!)...

I hope you enjoy your trip and come back with great news!
