Okay, I'm going to give up the goods first!
This is Dexter Bryce. He was born this morning at 9:10am and is 6lb 10oz and 20 inches long. He is beautiful and has fabulous hair. I love him so much. We are working on breastfeeding and it's taking some time, but we are doing pretty good at it. I have to learn this, too, and all of the LC's are on vacation for the weekend. The nurses are great though and have been helping me a lot.
The RCS went great. Took about 40 minutes from start to finish, that is including the Tubal Ligation. It was amazing and she said that I had very little scar tissue and that is why it went so fast and smooth. All the nurses were great and we laughed a lot today. I have not been in any pain. The most painful part of this was trying to get some sleep last night. I was congested and crying my eyes out over leaving my 13 month old for 3 days. She's happy as can be btw. lol And the congestion went away a few hours after I delivered. I feel like a new person. I hope some of you ladies get the same relief post delivery! It has been smooth so far. I've already been up walking and brushed my teeth, and washed my face. My spinal wore off completely about 5-6 hours post delivery. It made me rather nauseated this time and I have thrown up a few time (tmi, sorry) but the key is taking it slow I think and not moving too fast or drinking too much too soon. I feel great right now and I look forward to getting back home.
DH was amazing through all of this and I love him so much. He is a happy daddy and has been ear to ear non stop. He went home to be with our other 3 kids around 4pm. Tomorrow he says he might bring them for a quick visit after lunch.
I hope everyone is doing well. I have yet to read the other posts for today, but I will and I am praying that all the other mommas are doing well. Thanks for reading
