Anyone have any insight on this?
I don't really consider myself "infertile", we've been trying for 7 cycles now, I'm just an anxious girl.
I went to the OBGYN and he said secondary infer. is not uncommon. I don't really know what he meant by it. What exactly is it? What would cause getting pg the first time within a few months than having a more difficult time conceiving your 2nd and so on? TIA!

Secondary Infertility
Definition
Secondary infertility is defined as the inability to become pregnant, or to carry a pregnancy to term, following the birth of one or more biological children. The birth of the first child does not involve any assisted reproductive technologies or fertility medications.
Do I have secondary infertility?
Infertility is defined as a disease or condition of the reproductive system often diagnosed after a couple has had one year of unprotected, well-timed intercourse, or if the woman has suffered from multiple miscarriages.
Infertility is a medical problem. Approximately 40% of infertility is due to a female factor and 40% is due to a male factor. In the balance of the cases, infertility results from problems in both partners or the cause of the infertility cannot be explained.
Should I see a specialist?
Most physicians advise you not to be concerned unless you have been trying to conceive for at least one year and are under 35. If you are over 35 and have been trying for 6 months, you should consult a physician. If you are over 30 and have a history of pelvic inflammatory disease, painful periods, miscarriage, irregular cycles, or if you know that your partner has a low sperm count, do not wait one year. Consult a specialist, such as a Reproductive Endocrinologist or urologist, or in some cases your OB/Gyn.
you're welcome.

Yes, there is a board for it here.
There are many different things that can cause secondary IF. A lot being the same that cause primary IF. I believe a lot of cases of secondary IF tend to be unexplained also.
But, as an example, MH had a poor SA. At this point that appears to be the problem. I'll be going for more testing next week.
Thanks, ladies.
No, I'm not 35 ( 32), so I'm not overly concerned yet. My OB suggested we could get a HSG done and SA to make sure there are no issues.
And that's a great plan....5 months from now.
