I love my OB right now!

So I had a check-up yesterday and he mentioned that since I am breastfeeding that I am carrying 15 extra pounds of fluid, fats and sugars in my body. As soon as I stop breastfeeding I will drop the weight. Score!

    Yup - some bodies just cling to everything until you wean.  My OB told me that same thing - I didn't get to test it out b/c I rolled from BFing #1 to being pregnant with #2 - but I have high hopes for April 2013 to start really losing weight again.

    Haha, this was me too. Though I still dropped almost 10 lbs in 2 weeks shortly after DD weaned. If that happened while I was pregnant I'm hoping it will be even more dramatic when I'm not!

  • I think this is happening to me this time around. I dropped weight like crazy while breastfeeding Hazel, but it is slow going with Owen.
    i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.

  • I dropped 30 pounds the first 3 weeks PP, and then SLOWLY dropped 2 more. The last 8 are hanging on though. I can watch what I eat and run three times a week, or eat junk food and sit on the couch. I've tried both, and no matter what, week after week I see the same number on the scale, so I've officially given up until I quit breastfeeding. I'm putting all of my faith in the stories that you drop the last 10 after you quit breastfeeding. Please oh please let it be true! 15 would be even better. :)

  • I gained 38lbs with pregnancy and have not lost anything! I am trying and it is stressing me out so much . We eat really well and I work out three times a week.  I breastfeed and supplement and I should see some weight loss.  This gives me hope that at least 15 might be from breastfeeding.

  • Oh I really hope this is true! I've lost 40lbs but I've been stuck at 159 for 3 weeks now.  I can't cut anymore calories without dropping my supply. Come on, April!

    This is me almost word for word except I gaind 29 total, have about 6 pounds hanging on and while my running and eating well isn't making a difference, I'm still keeping at it.  The running makes me healthier and feel better all around even if the weight is hanging on.
