April 2012 Moms

Well our 4 month wakeful started

And I hate it so so much! Lincoln went to bed at 7:45 last night, just like normal but he didn't stay asleep until 9:45. Then he got up at 11:30, 2:15, 5:00 (but he would wake up every 10 minutes until almost 5:45) and then up for the day at 8. I'm beyond exhausted! It's my H's day off today so he got up with him last night so I could sleep but that didn't do any good cause Lincoln was in one of his "I only want mommy" moods. Ugh I need sleeeep. And coffee.

  • Ugh I'm sorry! It's the worst, I know. Hang in there and on particularly tough nights, remind yourself it will end at some point, one night at a time! Good luck!

  • Ouch that sucks!  I feel your pain.  Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

  • Welcome to the club!!  Lets see, Jackson went down at 7, awake at 9, down again at 10, up at 12, 2, 5 and I kind of made him sleep again between 730 and 830 so I could get an extra hour.  Tonight is gonna suck, I work until 10, then have to be back tomorrow at 9.  With the whole 5 ish hours of sleep I predict getting, I will need a Starbucks IV in the morning.

That being said, lets all send "End of 4MW" vibes to each other.

  • It just started for us 3 days ago. It does suck! Last night wasn't quite as bad, but I need some sleep!
  • I think we are experiencing this too. Our little one goes to bed at about 7 or 7:30 PM and then sleep as much as 4 hours but sometimes as little as one hour and then is up every 90 minutes until about 5 AM when he's up for the day. He used to sleep five hours and then four hours. No more of that!

The only way to get him to go back to sleep at night is to feed him and it's getting out of control! I am a pumper and I can't keep up.

Anyone know how long this wakeful typically lasts?

  • I'm getting very afraid of this from all the posts....

I think it has sort of hit. I put him down for bed around 8. He sleeps off and on until about 11-12 but hasn't been waking during the night.

Here's to quick 4 month wakefuls for us all...and a good coffee stash...

  • This was us last night. I think it is 4 month wakeful/2 teeth coming in. Last night she went to bed at 6:15pm, was up at 7pm, then went back to sleep around 8pm (and so did I b/c I was so exhausted), awake at 10:30pm, 2:30am, 4:30am and 6am. I miss sleep.....
