Last Thursday-Monday, my husband worked 5 days in a row for 10-12 hours a day. It's farm work so it's a lot of manual labor, and I get that it's tough. Yesterday was his first day off and I let him sleep til almost 11. I wanted him to go and we'd be gone an hour, at the most. He said "Why can't there be one day where I can sit on the couch and do nothing?" I told him I don't ever get to either, and he said "but you get to stay home with the baby all day". Never mind I get the boys ready for school at 6 am, stay up with Lexi til generally midnight or later (thank you 4 month wakeful) and do EVERYTHING around the house. This is one of our biggest problems right now and it's causing a lot of resentment on my part. I've tried talking to him but it doesn't help. Men suck sometimes. I'm totes jealous of the women with super-awesome hubbies.
Oh and he's off at least today too because of the rain from Isaac. Has he lifted a finger? No.

Re: What is wrong with men?
My DH is usually good about not saying dumb things but the other night he said something along those lines...He was acting grouchy after L went to bed and I asked him what was wrong. He said he had been on his feet since we got home (making dinner, washed bottles) and that he wanted time to relax. I said I wanted time too and I had been taking care of the baby since we got home. He said "well at least you were sitting down while doing it". I just told him to get the helll out of the kitchen and finished mixing bottles and just because I was sitting down doesn't mean I was relaxing as I was caring for a 4 month old.
Throw in working 7:30 - 4:30 M-F and you're talking about my life!
I'm so ready for LO to sleep again!!!!
Guys sometimes say the dumbest things. That is all.
There should be consequences. Saying dumbshit to a sleep-deprived mama could be hazardous to one's health.
