I just wanted to get input from those of you whose babies have curly hair...what did their hair look like before the curls started or were they curly from birth? I'm impatient and trying to figure out if my 2nd DD might have curly/ wavy hair...she was born with a full head of stick straight baby fine hair but now at almost 3 months it seems to curl all over the ends when its wet (or even humid). But once it dries it gets pretty much straight again...what have been your experiences with your curly haired kids? I'm just so curious because my whole family has stick straight hair, my DH has straight hair, but his father and brother are wavy/ curly. My first DD has fine straight hair, so I just never thought of the possibility of my kid having curls, but would love it if she does!
Thanks for any input! Any pictures too please share!
Re: Will/ does your baby have curls/ waves? Come in!
The ends of DD's hair still have the curls, not so much in the shaft over the last year or so.
Both DH & I have naturally curly hair so we'll have to see what happens. Mine was straight with a loose wave until about 15-16, then it became curly and frizzy if I don't put some type of curl defining product in it.
My DD was born with dark straight hair, which feel out and came back blonde. At around a year waves started to appear, By two she had loose curls. Her hair curls a lot when it is humid out and to be honest I can't wait to find out what it will look like once it gets longer. My husband has curly hair and I have straight.
DD1 was born with straight black hair that would be really curly when wet. Now (at 2 1/2), she's got a full head of crazy curls.
DD2 was born with a TON of black curly hair, but the curls aren't as tight as DD1 (yet). She's only 9 weeks so it hasn't changed much, but definitely looks even more curly when wet.
