  We recently moved to feedings every 4 hours (8, 12, 4 & 8)...DD gets 6oz and DS gets 7oz, so we use  52 ounces/day. One 12.6 ounce can of formula makes 15 six ounce bottles (90 ounces). I think this can costs ~$15. So, one can doesn't even last us 2 full days.

  I have worked hard to get as many formula samples & coupons as possible. I just turned in my Medela Symphony a couple weeks ago, but I wasn't even able to pump enough to cover the cost of the rental anymore (Putting the pump rental fee toward formula gives us more ounces than I could pump in a month). I still nurse before they get their bottles, but I know that they aren't getting much from me.

BFN IVF #4 ER 8/22 9R,7F ET 8/25-3 embies, 1 frostie! Beta 9/2= 54, 9/6=274, 9/8=625, 9/12=2953, 9/16 greater than 10,000. B/G TWINS born April 2012 @ 36wks & 1 day!   When they were on 50% formula it was about $80/month for generic (and they were nearly a year, so they only drank 20 oz each or so)

  Are you insured? As of August 1st, insurers are required to cover the cost of breast pump rentals - some plans are grandfathered and do not have to change their policy until January 1st, but it's worth checking out.

  I can get a 32oz Gerber can from.BJs for $28. I can get a 23 oz from target for $24-26 and sometimes they have $5 coupon if you buy 2 and you can stack a manufacturer coupon. From CVS I can use the weekly email coupons (if it is not on sale) for $5 or 20-30% off which makes $17-$21 for 23 oz. 23 oz gives 65 scoops which makes 21 7 oz bottles and my boys get 7 oz 4-5 times a day. So one 23 oz container lasts 2-2.5 days.that is why I'm always asking for formula checks and coupons.

  We do generic (Target/CVS/Walmart/Sam's Club-it's all the same).  We get it from Sam's-the "Gentle version" $23 for 48 oz of formula, which translates to 348 ounces which is about 7 days of formula.  So altogether-$92 a month.
