Sakura bloom sling owners, please help!!

I purchased a silk SB sling from a sample sale and recently received it in the mail. It has this strong chemical smell that makes me nauseous. I left it in the box with the lids open for a day but the smell doesn't seem to be going away. To the other owners out there, is this what you experienced as well? I want to make sure it's safe to use for my baby. many thanks!!

  • While I don't have a Sakura bloom sling I have heard that silk can come with a strange smell.

  • Wash it - it will lose the silk crispness but if you don't like the smell that will take care  of it.  FWIW, it's safe to use.  As pp mentioned, silk has a very strong smell.

  • Thank you for putting my mind at ease. I know some silk comes with this fishy smell but this is a very strong chemical smell that I can't bare to have it near me. I'll try airing it out first then
