Endo Appt

I just got home from the consult with my OBGYN about what to do for my endo. I had originally asked about Lupron Depot and he said it was a possibility for us to use it eventually, but he didn't want to go straight there. He reiterated that he would only do surgery again as a last resort because of the chance that I wouldn't make it out with my ovaries again. I have an ultrasound in the morning to check for endometriomas & then if that's clear he advises I start on BCP since IVF is not in our immediate future. I'm almost wishing I didn't even make the appt and had just left everything alone. I knew BCPs were a possibility but I don't want to take them. If we had gone the Lupron route I know I would have had to put TTC on hold anyway, but I feel like it would have been for a defined amount of time whereas the BCPs would be until we decided to try IVF again. The thing is, I don't know that we'll even do IVF again. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to give up TTC on our own despite the odds being almost non-existent of getting PG that way.

BCP to manage endo from 10/2012 to 12/2012.
FET w/donor embryos #1: 10/2013 Cancelled
FET w/donor embryos #1.2: 11/2013 ~ ET of 2 beautiful blasts on 11/27.

    Thanks girls! I had the ultrasound this morning, which I assumed would be done using the vag cam like at the RE's office, but nope it was abdominal and now I have the gel stuff on my undies and maxi dress. Yuck! I have to say it was one of the most informative ultrasounds I've ever had. The guy isn't usually very chatty, but was full of details this morning! I don't have any obvious endometriomas but there are 2 follicles (too small to be called cysts) which he wants me to have checked in a month to make sure they haven't grown. Also, my lining is thick enough to support a pregnancy should a miracle have occurred this cycle. I guess now I just wait for my dr to call & tell me to start the BCPs. You guys are right...IF is sooooo not fair!!

    I'm sorry that there aren't any better answers.  I will be in the same situation as you if my upcoming IVF cycle isn't successful- I hate to give up the slight miracle chance of a natural pregnancy, but we wouldn't be able to do IVF again for a while until we saved up the $ for it.  Endo sucks.  Infertility sucks a lot, but infertility with endo sucks worse.

    FX your IVF works and you don't have to deal with this! It does suck so bad!
