Hi ladies! I'm due in October and getting my list of supplies together. I BF DD#1 for 6 months and used disposable nursing pads during that time. I can't for the life of me remembered which ones I used so instead of hunting for the "right one" I figured I'd ask which ones you have used and did/n't like. I also wanted to know what your thoughts were on washable ones. How frequently do they have to be changed out and last? I had overproduction issues the first time around, so I leaked a ton. I need something that can handle it. TIA

Re: nursing pads (disposable vs. washable)
Ditto!!!
I used only disposable pads for DS #1, the Johnson&Johnson ones, and found that I went through them super fast. They are expensive to buy so often, and I hated the added expense. I just bought Bamboobies online after several friends recommended them. I had a huge supply and leaked so much the first time around, but as soon as I saw the overnight bamboobies I HAD to buy some. I just got them and they are literally so thick and fluffy. Like Cashmere for your ta-ta's! lol I can't wait until my LO gets here so I can try them!
PS I also got the nipple cream from Bamboobies, also recommended by friends. It's called "Boob ease".
I've tried many brands of disposables. From Johnson & Johnson, Nuk, Medela, Avent, Lansinoh, Target, and maybe one or two more I can't remember. I guess to each their own, but I really like the Target Up&Up brand ones! They are a little bit bigger than others. The only ones I hate are the Nuk thin ones & Avent. Leak-city.
As far as washable, I've only tried Medela (because they were free). I leaked, and they were a wrinkled mess. I really want to order Bamboobies, whenever I get a little extra money, which seems to be never.
I just got my bamboobies! can't wait to try them. Disposables make my nipples itchy. And I don't like the gel in them.... my supply is evened out now at 3 months though, so I'm not so worried about leaking. I hated NUK but they are a *little* better now that they've been washed a bunch of times...
I don't expect they'd be hard to make...a layer of PUL, one of hemp and one of bamboo-cotton blend...If I need more, I'm just gonna make some.
