Lo's eyes

So my LO was born with baby blues, like most other caucasion babies. Since then, they've been constantly changing. They'll go from being a dark brown, like my husband's, to a dark blue, to a hazellike color and back again. I have zero idea what color eyes she'll have. Does anybody believe the color of their LO'a eyes are going to stay the color they are now?

Well DD1 had that happen to her. I have brown eyes and DH has green.

Her eyes for a month or two were almost an olive dark green, but by 3 months were brown.

DD2 is following suit and I think she is going to have brown as well.

I love that they both have my eyes!

I read that you can't quite tell until about 9 mos...and even then can still change..My LO has green eyes that change to grey...we'll see.

We are all very fair in our family (as in my husband, myself, and the kids). Blond or red hair and blue or green eyes. His eyes are currently a dark blue. I would assume that he will keep his blue eyes, although my blue eyed daughters eyes are starting to turn a little green.

DD's eye color seems to still be changing too. Sometimes blue, sometimes grey-ish, sometimes hazel-ish.

I've heard upwards of a year. The suspense is killing me. I don't think they'll stay blue, although both my parents have blue eyes. If I were a betting woman, I'd say they'll go dark brown. It seems dark genes are usually the prominent genes. We shall see!

I have dark brown eyes and DH has light blue eyes. DS very strongly resembles my husband...but it's looking like he'll get my brown eyes (which makes me happy - something I can point to that he inherited from me!). They were dark blue when he was born but they are looking more and more brown each week. I would be shocked if they lightened.

They've been blue from the start and haven't changed.

I thought for sure they would turn brown because I have brown eyes. But now it seems like they're staying blue!

My LO has also been rotating between dark blue/dark grey/hazel, but I'm pretty sure he'll end up brown. MH and I both have brown eyes, but my dad has green eyes and my brother's are hazel, so there's a slight chance some lighter eyes are hiding in the genes.

DS has blue eyes, and I feel like they'll probably stay that way. He has my colouring so far, red hair and blue eyes, and I kept them through toddlerhood. I was blonde between about 6 and 12 before going back to red naturally, so maybe he'll do the same. I hope so...I love having a little redhead!

DD has very clean darker blue eyes like DH (almost reminds me of a denim color, if that makes sense). I can't imagine them changing just because they're so purely blue and haven't changed a bit since she was born.

I have dark skin and hair and light brown eyes with a lot of green. My husband is very fair with hazel eyes. I don't know what combination of anything James is going to end up with

Right now his eyes are a very pretty blue-grey that is awesome. I think he's going to be a handsome little guy. (Not biased or anything.)

She was born with super dark grey eyes - they have lightened to light blue like mine, I am hoping they stay!

I thought since dd's eyes were the darkest of my 3 kids that dh would finally get a brown eyed baby- like him. But no, they changed to true blue eyes and I'm pretty sure they'll stay blue, just like her sisters.
