My mother is insisting I need to register for baby swing. I don't know what I want and I'm not convinced I have space for one, but she swears that I loved it and my nephew loved it, and that I will want one. We decided to add one to appease her, and if it poses a space issue we can just take it back, right? So now the million dollar question...
Which one do I get? Tell me what you have or want...
Re: Recommend your swing!
I have this one - https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Papasan-Cradle-Swing-Starlight/dp/B000I5UZ1Q/ref=as_li_tf_sw?linkCode=wsw&tag=nergam-20
I like it because you can plug it in.
We were going to register for one but a lot of my STM friends told me I should wait until the baby is here. Some babies love them, some hate them. Many of my friends ended up buying bouncers after they had spent 150.00 on the plug in swing because their kid couldn't stand the swing.
Basically most of them told me to wait until it seemed like I was ready or needed to buy a swing/bouncer, then to take LO to the store and try out a few to see which one worked for us.
I told them they were no help, because all 7 of them have a different swing or bouncer that they "love".
I'm in the same situation, I'm not sure what swing to get....I didn't want to start a new thread about swings so I'm just posting this here...
Does anyone know about these types of Graco swing? It doesn't look like a swing to me....but I know someone who ended up getting 2 and will sell the extra one to me for $75...instead of paying the $199 retail it goes for...any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated

Unless they need to sell it right away for cash maybe they can hold onto it until baby comes and then let you try it out and if baby likes it then you can pay for it? Granted 75.00 is a good deal for any of the plug in swings, and if your baby doesn't like it you could probably sell it on craigslist.
we got this one

DD loved her swing. It was a lifesaver for us and had her sleeping through the night by 3 months. We had the Fisher Price Snugabunny plug in swing. (Initially we had the Little lamb that ran on batteries but we used it so much it died and FP replaced it no charge!).
I would recommend one that plugs in for sure, and it would help if the swing has the option of swinging front to back and side to side. DD loved the side to side motion,
As pp have said it really depends on the baby and the baby may hate the swing but we couldn't have lived without it when it came to DD! Crossing our fingers our next LO loves it as well.
That is the one I registerd for, it was so neat in the store and got good reviews.
I also like that it didnt take up tons of room.
I would get it, you can always sell it if your LO doesnt like it.
